A Weighted Bipartite Network Based on the Strength Preferential Attachment 1
A model for the weighted bipartite network is proposed and the growth mechanism is based on the strength preferential attachment. By the rate equation approach, the strength distribution of the bottom nodes is provided and it has a shifted power-law tail, i.e., P (s) ∝ (s + θ)−γ , for large s. The expressions of the parameters θ and γ are also given.
متن کاملWeighted trade network in a model of preferential bipartite transactions.
Using a model of wealth distribution where traders are characterized by quenched random saving propensities and trade among themselves by bipartite transactions, we mimic the enhanced rates of trading of the rich by introducing the preferential selection rule using a pair of continuously tunable parameters. The bipartite trading defines a growing trade network of traders linked by their mutual ...
متن کاملOn Weighted Bipartite Edge Coloring
We study weighted bipartite edge coloring problem, which is a generalization of two classical problems: bin packing and edge coloring. This problem has been inspired from the study of Clos networks in multirate switching environment in communication networks. In weighted bipartite edge coloring problem, we are given an edge-weighted bipartite multigraph G = (V,E) with weights w : E → [0, 1]. Th...
متن کاملAlgorithm for Mining Web Access Patterns Based on User Access Sequences
Through analysis of user access sequences, this research studies the browsing behaviors of web users and proposes a user access pattern mining algorithm based on the maximal forward reference sequence to determine frequent access paths. Experiments have shown that this effective algorithm could obtain a satisfactory result. This algorithm is superior to the traditional Full Scan algorithm in te...
متن کاملMeasuring influence in online social network based on the user-content bipartite graph
With the rising of online social networks, influence has been a complex and subtle force to govern users’ behaviors and relationship formation. Therefore, how to precisely identify and measure influence has been a hot research direction. Differentiating from existing researches, we are devoted to combining the status of users in the network and the contents generated from these users to synthet...
